Pune city comes under Maharashtra state of India. It is majorly known as a students city because almost half of the population in pune is comprised of students. Because of students one can find lots of hostels, PG accomodations and flats on rent in Pune at very low rates. Mess and hotels are also in profits because of students.
There are places which are suggested to visit if you are in Pune like Shanivarwada, Sinhgarh, Dagdusheth Ganpati Temple, Chaturshringi Temple, Sambhaji Park, Saras Baug, Bund Garden and Katraj Snake Park. Lonavala, Shirdi and Khandala are some places which are not so far from Pune.
Weather in Pune is all time marvellous. Because of increase in pollution it is changed a bit but still during summer season the evenings will be as calm as early mornings and winter season chills and thrills only during night.
People in Pune are very friendly and simple. But due to some cheaters who cheat the outsiders for the sake of money no one trust any localite. My experience with the Puneites is very good. Whenver I required help, always someone was there to guide me.
